Still Around

My apologies for lack of posts! Please interpret this as a sign that I've been busy, not that I've given up (yet)!

I still intend on entering Dream Build Play with this certain game. I've been so busy making levels for it that I keep forgetting to record some footage and making some press materials. The engine is done, the art style is looking good, and all that remains is level design, enemy design (along with new art assets they may use), and putting in some music.

It will not use the Bonded Realities-style of hand-drawn cartoons, nor will it use pixel art. It will actually look substantially more modern, since I believe that if you have beefy hardware, use it! (Provided you have the time and budget to put in the effort necessary)

The game is good enough for playtesting, so when I finally decide to reveal it, I'll submit a build for feedback shortly after.

It's in 2D and a completely unique style of gameplay. Seriously. The story of how I thought it up is quite surprising. Some may interpret it as a mixture of several gameplay styles, but unlike other indies, Minecraft is not one of them :)

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some business to catch up on. And by business, I mean sleep. It's business time.
